TOOLS FOR TRANSFORMING TRAUMA - Day Retreats

Each retreat is stand-alone; participants may attend more than one per term. Some content may be repeated. Women Only.

  • Tuesdays from February 3:

    • Group 1: 10:45am – 12:15pm (Women Only) – 7 weeks

Each online TSY session includes a short introduction, 35–40 minutes of guided movement, and time at the end for optional sharing or questions. These mixed-gender groups offer a supportive and flexible space — you’re welcome to have your camera on or off, and once the practice begins, all microphones and cameras (except the facilitator’s) will be turned off to help create a calm and focused environment.

  • Tools for Transforming Trauma Day Retreats

    Tools For Transforming Trauma is a fully funded ACC SCS day retreats. These retreats invite individuals to embark on a journey of healing, empowerment, and self-discovery. Drawing from Trauma-Sensitive Yoga and Creative Arts Therapy, along with mindfulness-based psycho-education, and Ecotherapy, clients come away with tangible and sustainable tools for an enduring recovery that can be integrated into daily life in helpful and practical ways.

  • Our weekly groups meet each term Online & In person in Grey Lynn and Rothesay Bay

    Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) offers more than traditional yoga—it’s a guided journey back to yourself. Designed with trauma-sensitive principles, our 8-week groups provide a safe space to reconnect with your body, explore inner experiences, and access somatic tools for wellbeing.

This approach can aid in regulating your nervous system, reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression, and improving self-awareness. Trauma-sensitive yoga provides a safe space to explore bodily sensations and emotions at your own pace, promoting a gradual restoration of trust and safety in your body.
